As the school season is now underway, I thought sandwich recipes would be a good idea for this month.

The specific rules are the following:

  • You can do any type of sandwich (grilled or cold).
  • You must also create a homemade condiment or spread.
  • It must be vegetarian and also egg-less.
  • Please submit only ONE recipe.

In general I will only consider recipes that I feel are complete in regards to ingredients, measurement, and instruction. From there I am looking for creativity and a recipe that my viewers would enjoy to prepare on their own. I will be judging on overall recipe and presentation also.

Below is my checklist:

  • Be Creative!
  • Ingredients should be listed with measurements.
  • Method must be explained clearly, so it’s easy to follow.
  • Please include your NAME along with the recipe (as you would like it to appear).
  • Search the web for ideas. There are many resources available.
  • Please send me a detailed recipe to contest@manjulaskitchen.com
  • You must also send original picture(s) of the recipe – do not simply grab a photo from the web. Otherwise your recipe will not be considered for entry. If the photo is too low resolution, I cannot accept the recipe.
  • The deadline is September 27th.
  • The winner will be featured on the homepage with the new recipe and a link to their website (if available).

  2. Potato sandwich : Take some boiled potatos and grate it. Add cumin powder, chaat masala, red chilli powder, corainder, onion (finely cut) to the grated mixture. Then cut the bread slice into 2 portion. Apply tomato sauce on one side of the bread and put the potato mixture on it. Then take a frying pan, add some butter and fry the bread on both side till golden brown. Your yummy potato sandwich is ready to eat.

  3. Pizza sandvich first take white bread put butter on one side than put tomato sauce than small piece of onion than small pieces of capsicum than shredded chedder cheese and than put another piece of bread on it than heat from both side

  4. Cheese salad sandwich
    Take white or brown bread ,and spread butter on the both side(if you want to make it more healthier you can use mashed avocado instead) put sliced tomato ,cucumber and iceberge leaves and on the top put cheese. Its really healthy and yummy. Njoy your sandwich.easy and healthy
